Info
Block Stack, VIC 3977 is a permanent public commission for City of Casey, located next to the cricket pavilion renovated in 2019 at Lawson Poole Reserve, Cranbourne VIC. Pallets of leftover masonry blocks from the adjacent building site are casually stacked into a tower. Trees, shrubs and grasses native to the Mornington Peninsula grow, unkempt out the top of the structure. Windborne weeds gradually sprout and establish themselves in the gaps between blocks.
Thanks to Austral Masonry and Brickworks Building Products for their generous support by suppling blocks for the project.
